Hey, I’m Kait
With twenty years behind the chair and more than 500 weddings under my belt, I’ve seen it all: the perfect hair flip, the one rogue hair that refuses to behave, and every kind of pre-ceremony meltdown (and victory) in between. I started in salons, moved through fashion shoots and TV sets, and eventually focused on wedding mornings because those hours are pure magic: equal parts nerves, laughter, and joy.
I built Black Pin Project to bring that editorial polish to bridal hair while keeping things real, relaxed, and totally inclusive. My goal is simple: craft a hairstyle that looks immaculate in photos, feels like you, and survives the most enthusiastic dance moves. And yes! I’ll help with everything from tucking in your dress to coaxing that stubborn flyaway into place. That’s the kind of hands-on support that comes from doing this nearly 500 times.
When I’m not creating looks for brides, I’m a mom and a creative who loves teaching and collaborating with fellow artists. Sharing what I’ve learned and helping others get better at this craft is as important to me as a flawless updo.
