My passion for hair styling and barbering has taken me everywhere, from fashion shows, to television broadcasts, to wedding mornings in brides kitchens’.

But in my 15 years of hair styling, I kept seeing the same thing. Stylists that make clients feel intimidated and ashamed because they don’t look like what society deems as “attractive.” I’ve seen this all over the Bridal and Beauty industries, and after a while, it made me sick.

I strongly believe that your hair and makeup should celebrate who you are, and not make you feel like you are overlooked or that you need to look like somebody else.

This belief led me to starting Black Pin Project, a collective of stylists that want to help anyone, and everyone feel their best. That’s why it is my mission to make beauty styling a more inviting, inclusive, and collaborative space.

We are dedicated to creating a welcoming and accepting atmosphere for all people, regardless of gender, identity, or style because we believe that everyone deserves to feel beautiful and confident on their special day.

We're so passionate about what we do that we'd do it for free, that’s how much we care about delivering the perfect look. This isn't just a job for us. This is our life's work, and we pour our hearts into it every step of the way.

When I’m not working a wedding with Tiiu, I am in the Black Pin Project Studio offering colouring, cutting, barbering, extensions, and styling behind the chair.
